Pulpotomy
Roselle IL Dentist
A pulpotomy is a dental procedure done when a severely decayed tooth needs to be saved.
While it is most commonly performed on a child’s baby tooth, it may also be used to save teeth in an older child or an adult.
This procedure is less invasive than a root canal and is done to remove the infected pulp from under the tooth’s crown.
Most people report minimal discomfort during a pulpotomy and recovery is quicker than a typical root canal.
